Dr. Zeferino Biscaia Fraga
Zeferino Biscaia Fraga was born in Manteigas in the Guarda District, but moved to Lisbon, at age 18 to study medicine, graduating in 1973 with the classification of Good with Distinction at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon. Beyond the Clinic Biscaia Fraga, he directs the Department of Plastic Surgery and Head and Neck Center Hospital West Lisbon, since 2006.
Z. Biscaia Fraga is the only plastic surgeon in Portugal awarded with the Grand Order of Honor “Grand Official” of the Order of Merit in 2005 by the then President of the Republic, Dr. Jorge Sampaio.

- Filling the position and function of Head of Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Maxillo-Facial Surgery of a Central Hospital in Lisbon
- Appointed Director of the Department of Plastic Surgery and Head and Neck Surgery, July 2006 (Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, Maxillofacial, Dentistry, Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology), of the Lisbon Hospital West, functions which he currently holds
- Appointed Director of the Department of Plastic Surgery Reconstructive and Maxillo-Facial of a Central Hospital in Lisbon in May 1999, that he currently performs this function in fullness
- Assistant of Human Anatomy at the Faculty of Medicine of Lisbon, between 1975-79
- Conductor Assistant of the discipline of Human Anatomy at the Higher Institute of Physical Education in 1976
- Visiting Professorof the discipline of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Center for Medical Rehabilitation in Alcoitão, between 1980 and 1992
- Invited Assistant of Surgery II course at the Faculty of Sciences of the New University of Lisbon, between 1980 and 1995

- Former Director of the Harley Medical Group in Portugal (Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery)

- Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Orthopedics Hospital of Lisbon
